Tuition Prices

We go to a relatively cheap college. Relative is the key word. Tuition prices have skyrocketed in U.S. universities. This is outrageous because without a college degree it is unlikely that a person in todays generation will be able to accomplish their dreams. Instead the people that take out student loans are put in a huge financial hole before starting adulthood. With a huge burden on students to pay back loans it is hard to find ways to save money for a house etc. This country needs to focus on providing affordable education.

Art, I completely agree. Sometimes what my life would be like if I took all the money I spent on college and started my own business. Why is education such an expense in today's society. America has so many incentives to help provide us with an advanced education; so why are they not helping?

I agree. I know that a state funded school is being helped out but at what point does it almost become tuition gouging? The football coach makes over $200,000 a year - which is more than the president of the college makes. Really, How much DOES a college need to make?

Its ridiculous that as soon as you graduate, you begin paying back your massive amounts of student loans. why do tuition prices keep on rising even in a bad economy? i agree that there should be some knd of program in this country to help studnts get an education at an affordable price
